Like figure out how to get back at Dusty and Moss for playing tricks on her.
Before she can carry out her plan, though, disaster strikes
and she finds herself working alongside the very fairies she wanted revenge on.
Can they work together and trust each other, or will things go from bad to

“Where have you been?” Clover asks when
I fly in.
Standing in front of the four Flutter
members, I answer. “I’ll tell you later. We need to get down to business. Lacey
wants to join our club. Should we let her?” I look at each member for some kind
of response.
“She’s a whiner,” Weedy says. “All she
does is complain. If her wings get a little bit wet, it’s the end of the world
to her. She says rainwater will dry them out and they won’t shine anymore. How
pathetic is that?”
Weedy never has a problem saying what’s
on her mind. She’s a lot like Clover, but Clover is a little easier to get
along with. Clover has chestnut-brown hair and gray eyes, whereas Weedy has
short-cropped black hair and green eyes. And she always wears green, making her
look like a real weed, especially if her hair is windblown.
Rose speaks up. “Well, I like her. She’s
always nice to me. She even trades her spinach and artichoke salad for my bag
of clover flowers.”
Rose is the sweetheart of the bunch, shy
and extremely passionate toward other’s feelings. Rose is curvy and short with
red, frizzy hair and hazel eyes. One reason I like her is she mostly votes the
same way I usually do, the opposite way from the others.
Clover glares at Rose. “Why don’t you
ever swap lunch with me? You know how much I love clover flowers.” She pouts.
“Because you don’t eat artichoke
salads,” Rose says.
“I hope you choke on an artichoke,” Clover snaps with a
fling of her hair.
This has gone too far. “Girls! ‘A
Flutter can never threaten another Flutter.’ That is rule number two. And what
is rule number one?”
“‘Love your fellow Flutter,”’ Clover
mutters.
“And Rose? What is rule number three?”
“‘Consider your fellow Flutters’
feelings,’” Rose quotes. She walks over to Clover. “I apologize.”
I elbow Clover.
“Me too,” Clover mumbles.
