Hi, Chrys,
ReplyDeleteIt always makes a huge impact when you share your experiences in your writing. I once lit a gas space heater only to have it explode in flames due to a leak. I wasn't hurt just frightened but the fire department did show up. I think my screams alerted them. :)
Hey Yolanda!
DeleteIt certainly does. I love being able to add my own experiences into my books, especially the Disaster Crimes series. ;)
great videos. i don't have any personal experience with fire, other than watching it in my fireplace or fire pit. it is very hypnotic, yet so dangerous. thanks so much for sharing

Thank you! I wish I had a fireplace. :)
DeleteIt took me a while to get used to doing a video. Reading an excerpt isn't so bad for me. It's when I have to remember what to say that's hard. lol
ReplyDeleteAlthough I write poetry I too have written many poems about my travels especially to the US which have been featured in my books.
ReplyDeleteA great post Chrys as always.
Yvonne.
Thanks, Yvonne!

I can't even imagine what it be like to experience fire like that. Especially as a child. Grabbing toys, oh my gosh, just heart-wrenching! They say to write what you know, and you've done exactly that and I find that very brave!

I like being able to write my experiences into my stories. :)
DeleteI love the way you draw from your own life experiences. It really enhances the fiction parts.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Toi!
