If I were a Mobster BlogFest - Say Hello to...Disaster Chrys

If I were a Mobster Blogfest

Today is the day! I hope everyone had fun creating their posts and will have a blast all day (and maybe throughout the weekend) visiting the other participants. Now is a great time to meet new friends. :)

Here is my mobster profile:

My Mobster Name: Disaster Chrys (given to me by Sage), but those in my Mob call me Diz for short.

My Rank: I’m the second-in-command, of course. I don’t want to have the pressure of ruling an entire Mob, but as co-leader I get to have a lot of fun issuing orders, intimidating the boys, and being an overall bad ass chic. *wink*

Crime Zone: Central Florida

My Look: Sleek, neon green hair past my shoulders. I realize this makes me easily recognizable and even visible, but I’m notorious for it. People say they only catch a glimpse of green hair when I carry out my plans. I have a small spiral (the symbol for a hurricane) tattooed on the side of my right cheek. I wear all black and coral lipstick for a feminine touch.

Weapon of Choice: Long, extra-sharp pencils. I have a belt full of these “writing utensils,” which I can throw like darts or use as impaling instruments.

Mobster Vehicle: A black four-wheeler. I don’t drive on the highways or main roads, because I don’t want to be spotted, so I use dirt roads and back-roads.

What I’m Known For: Leaving a note scribbled on a torn piece of notebook paper. What do these notes say? (Check out my catch phrase.)

My Catch Phrase: Disaster Chrys Strikes Again!

Name of my Mob Leader: Nate Chur (aka Nature)

Now can someone turn me into a comic book "villain?" :D

    1. Really? If I could get away with it, and not ruin my hair, I think I would dye my hair bright green.

  3. Not only does a sharp pencil stab, but you could give someone a serious case of lead poisoning.

    1. Ha! Exactly. Pencils can be very dangerous. ;)

  4. Sorry Alex, but my daughter informed me that today's pencils contain graphite, not lead. But watch out for splinters on the broken ones. Those can be killers.

Congrats on your first blog hop and good luck with your release, Diz!

  6. LOL, Thanks for your comment on my blog. This is fun and an awesome launch idea.

I am a "hidden asset" and unknown, so we may work for the same mob. Anyone who see The Medusa is turned to stone-stone dead. They never get the chance to reveal her secrets. Deep connections, secrets and conspiracies.

Awesome hair BTW, Diz. Maybe your boss has a few hidden secrets he has not shared yet. Laundering and funding come from somewhere.

    1. After I dyed my hair black as a teen (a nightmare) I'm a chicken to dye my hair neon green in real life, but I like the idea of it. ;)

  14. Boom Boom Birgie here...I am a rogue mobster because i don't like to be tied down. I will travel anywhere as long as i am paid well although i am partial to Vienna and other cities in Europe. I love wearing leather with a nice fedora hat and gloves with some bling, glitter must always be present on my form. My hair is blond, long and free flowing with ice blue tips. I do wear sensible shoes to make my getaway though, high heels are just dumb. I know how to make a bomb and place them anywhere they wish and I can get away fast in my classic blue 1957 Thunderbird convertible. I am known to leave a calling card beside each victim before I venture off with some dashing man that can please all my senses. My catch phrase is...boom,boom, boom boom. I always say that with a smile. Love your hair and the pencils are a neat trick

  15. "glimpse of green hair..." Did I see you in the candy aisle? Love the hurricane tattoo! No one would ever suspect a pencil. Oooh, take me to your leader! Way to go, Diz ;-)

  16. Sounds like you're having a blast with this, Diz. Love the green hair. Reminds me of an old movie from way back when called, "The Boy With Green Hair." It was melodramatic tear-jerker about Ireland.

I hope your launch is going well. I'm afraid I'll have to put some more moolah into my Amazon account before I can buy your latest. (I dunno about you, but I spend way more money buying books than I do selling my own. Good thing I'm not in it for the money!)

    1. I know just what you mean about spending more on books than what you sell. But we live to read, don't we? :)

  17. Awesome blog post. And your mobster is all over the blogosphere! Congrats on the new release!

  18. Congrats Chrys! Both on an awesome mobster profile and your latest book release. If I ever get to making you a comic book villain, I promise to share credit and a finders fee.

  19. That's quite the look. Do you sport that now? Because, I think you should make that a reality now. (Temp tattoo on the cheek, of course ;)

    1. No, I'm not rocking that look now, but I wanted to get a neon green wig and draw the tattoo on my cheek for a photo for this post. :)

  20. I love you mobster profile. I took my cue from yours. I'm delighted I was able to participate in your blogfest and book release. It is such a fun and unique idea. Sorry my post didn't go up until tonight. Congrats on 30 Seconds Before. It sounds intriguing and Blake is my kind of guy. He has a dangerous journey ahead of him. I did some research into infiltrating the mob before I posted and wow, it is really scary. Best of luck. I can't wait to read it. Oh and love the newsletter.

    1. Thank you do much, Melissa! Blake sure does have s dangerous journey ahead. Infiltrating the Mob is a every idea. I made it easier for Blake for the sake of the story and creative liberties, but I'd it is tough and dangerous.

  21. You can get into anywhere with your pencils too. What a sneaky mobster you are, lol. This was a lot of fun to write the profile, and see how others became their mobster selves. I was surprised that California and Florida seem to be hotspots for mob activity.

Thanks for the fun. Enjoy your weekend, and good luck with the sales.

  23. Long, extra sharp pencils... I love it. From taking notes to stabbing someone in the eye, they're versatile. I love the coral, but it doesn't go with my skin. :)

Thanks for hosting this blog hop and good luck with the book release. I had a blast. You need to do more. Love ya!! Eva

  27. Ah yeah, the master of disaster! I love your description. I think I'm more terrified of the mobster who boldly operates in plain sight with neon green hair than the one who feels the need to work from the shadows.

  30. Chrys, thanks for the fun Blogfest! The Joker used a pencil to kill someone in front of a group of thugs to get his point across he was no one to mess with. So pencils are an excellent choice of weapon.
