This year I’m not doing the A to Z Challenge, which means I'm taking a blogging break for the month of April. BUT...I’m not completely out of the Challenge. As an administer
for the IWSG I am contributing to our A to Z theme of Writing Resources.
My Days on the IWSG Site will be:
I’m also pitching in with the other blog I co-host (Unicorn Bell) that is also joining the Challenge this year. My theme for my 3 posts
will be Unusual Words that you don’t often come across.
My Days on Unicorn Bell will be:
On a Good Note: I am feeling secure about the release for Seismic Crimes because of all the support I received. I think I have the release marketing plan down. I'll share the outcome for all of this later.
I hope everyone participating in A to Z has a blast!

Timothy S. Brannan and his colleagues at Benedictine University are
conducting a survey. Check it out:
Psychological Impact of
Disasters Outbreaks and Terrorism Research Project
The purpose of this
study is to examine the potential impact of natural disasters, terrorism
events, and infectious disease outbreaks on communities. This survey will take
approximately 15-20 minutes of your time. Your contributions will potentially
educate researchers and practitioners on the psychological impact of traumatic
events.
This research project
has been approved by the Institutional Research Board of Benedictine
University. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to reach
out to the principal investigator on this project or the IRB chairperson at
Benedictine University. Please take a moment to
participate, but only complete the survey one time.

We sincerely appreciate
your time and efforts in participating. Thank you!
Sometimes a blogging break is necessary. I'll look for your posts on the other sites!
ReplyDeleteThis is my first break, so I'm looking forward to being able to just write.
DeleteYes, it is good to have a break now and then. I will look out for you somewhere along the line.
ReplyDeleteYvonne.
Thanks, Yvonne!
DeleteIt's good to take a break now and again. You are missed during this whole AtoZ challenge, to that you can be sure. Enjoy the month! Will see you around, soon enough. :)
ReplyDeleteAw. Thanks, Jeffrey! I'll join the craziness next year. :)
DeleteWe all know how life can interfere with blogging. LOL A vacay leaves us refreshed and ready to dive back in, so enjoy!
ReplyDeletesherry @ fundinmental
I do need that refresh. I've been starting to dread blogging.
DeleteI'm taking a break too! Good luck with your new book. I'm sure it will all run smoothly:)
ReplyDeleteThank you, Jennifer! I hope you enjoy your break too!
DeleteTake your blogging break and breath. We all need to do that at times. :)
ReplyDelete*takes a deep breath* Thanks!
DeleteEnjoy your break--trying to do the A-Z daily may lead me to take a break :)
ReplyDeleteYou'll probably want you afterward. lol
DeleteJust a couple more weeks until its release!
ReplyDeleteI post also at the IWSG site and the A to Z Blog, so I'm real thankful for A to Z Lite this year.
Yay!!
DeleteI don't know how you do it.
It's always good to have a blogging break once and a while. Should I make it through A to Z, I'll probably take one in May.
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear you have your release marketing plan down!
Taking a break in May would be a good idea. If I do the Challenge next year, I think I'd do that.
DeleteYeh for feeling secure! :)
ReplyDeleteHave a good blogging break, Chrys!
Thank you, Madeline!
DeleteYes! I'm on break too...sort of. But hey, we take what we can get, eh? (Not that we aren't completely busy anyway.)
ReplyDeleteCrystal Collier
Yup. We take what we can get.
DeleteI'll take that survey; sounds fascinating :) Enjoy the break; it is always a good thing to do!
ReplyDeletebetty
Thanks! Timothy and his colleagues will appreciate your input. :)
DeleteI'm really glad I didn't do the A to Z this year. I wouldn't be sleeping.
ReplyDeleteNeither would I. I made the decision not to join after last year. I'm glad I stuck with that decision.
DeleteA good break is fine to take. Enjoy it, as you still post elsewhere.
ReplyDeleteI think its good that I'll still be posting elsewhere...I won't be forgotten. ;)
DeleteOooh, you got the Unicorn Bell X... I'm so sorry.
ReplyDeleteLOL I know. The X was hard, but at least with my theme I was able to find something.
DeleteEnjoy your blogging break! Everyone could probably use such a break at least one, to recharge and refresh one's batteries.
ReplyDeleteThis is pretty much my first real blogging break other than my first time during Christmas last year.
DeleteChrys,
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for posting this. Please enjoy your break!!
You're welcome. Timothy! And thank you! :D
DeleteSo looking forward to Seismic Crimes. Really pleased you are enjoying life at the moment :)
ReplyDeleteThank you, Nicola! :D
DeleteI know your release will be exciting and well-run!
ReplyDeleteThank you, C Lee! I hope so. ;)
DeleteI have a glimpse of how hard you work, so a blogging break is a good thing to do for you. Deep breath, because you work very hard at everything you do.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Joylene. I appreciate that. It's almost like being a mom and wanting your kids to see how hard you work, isn't it? :P
DeleteI'm not participating in the A to Z this year either.
ReplyDeleteI think there should be a club for those not participating in the Challenge for a specific year. lol
DeleteI've definitely missed you this time around, and it's weird not to see you on the blogs, but it was a great month to take a break.
ReplyDeleteI don't know if I'll do the A to Z again. There's lots that's good about it, but the three-four hours of extra work per night is getting to me.
Aw. It's nice to know I'm missed. :)
DeleteKeeping up with the visiting and commenting is tough. That's the part that is draining. Next year I plan to participate because I have a theme already picked out, but after that I'm not sure. I may only do the Challenge every other year, and when I do it I'll take May off to regroup.
You always have a full plate. Wishing you lots of R&R on your break. Cheers! -A
ReplyDeleteThank you, Adrienne! It's nice to not have to worry about my blog every Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
DeleteHi, Chyrs,
ReplyDeleteWow, you are a busy lady... Thanks for all the work you do for the IWSG and keeping us informed on what you are doing...
I suppose I am a busy lady. lol Thanks, Michael. :)
DeleteEnjoy your break. Happy R&R and Happy Writing!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Lidy!
DeleteI'm not doing A to Z this year, either. I just don't have the time. Congrats on your new release, and thank you for all your work on the IWSG newsletter! Enjoy your break!
ReplyDeleteI don't have the time either. Last year I was a co-co-host and planning a two-book blog tour. This year I'm planning a tour for my first novel, so I knew I wouldn't be able to do both.
DeleteMan, so understandable to take a break... and in A to Z frenzy I totally forgot yesterday was IWSG... ACK! I suppose confessing I was failing at this spirit of the A to Z thing because of my day job was insecure, but I didn't link or anything... Ah well... Thanks for the survey link. I will check it out.
ReplyDeleteDuring the craziness of A to Z it can be easy to forget IWSG and other responsibilities.
DeleteTaking a break every once in a while can be good for recharging your writing juices. I might take part in the Challenge next year, but this year I'm focused on writing. Good luck with your writing over the break.
ReplyDeleteI'm focused on writing this year too. It feels great!
DeleteIt's hard to escape the A to Z! I've seen a few people say they aren't doing it on their blog, but at another site they share with others. *whispers* one of us. one of us. ;)
ReplyDeleteLOL! It is hard to escape. :P
DeleteIt's good to take a break sometimes, and besides, you're still active and participating in other ways.
ReplyDeleteYup, even when I want a complete break from blogging, it doesn't happen. lol
DeleteBreaks are good, and I'm looking forward to mine in May. I'll have to check out your other posts too. Interesting survey!
ReplyDeleteNext year when I do the A to Z Challenge I'll be taking a break in May. That's for sure!
DeleteBreaks are great. I'm looking forward to your posts, Chrys. Also, very happy for you about the upcoming release. Steady on, my friend!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much, Claudine! :)
DeleteEnjoy your break!
ReplyDeleteHave a good break! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks!
DeleteCongratulations and much success with your book release! I'll have to check out the blog with unusual words. Build my vocabulary. Thanks for posting my link on the FB page. I'm hoping it will get straightened out soon. My laptop got a virus, but my techie guy got it cleaned up.
ReplyDeleteMary at Play off the Page
You're so welcome! I wanted to help out and make it easy for members to get to your posts. I saw you got one link to work. I'll try to check in every day to make sure your links are going up.
DeleteThanks, Mary!
Enjoy! :-)
ReplyDeleteI will. :)
DeleteWe all need a break. Best wishes to you!
ReplyDeleteI’m exploring different types of dreams and their meanings.
I is for interpretation of Dreams Stephen Tremp’s Breakthrough Blogs
Yes, we all do. lol
DeleteCongratulations! And wishing you much success for the release of your book!
ReplyDeleteThank you! :)
DeleteHi Chrys. Glad you're happy with the release so far of Seismic Crimes. Many best wishes!!
ReplyDeleteHi Denise! It's releasing soon. :D
DeleteHow awesome! Congrats!
ReplyDeleteThanks!
DeleteA blogging break is sometimes good for the soul :) I hope you come back refreshed. Have a great weekend, my friend!
ReplyDeleteThank you! I've enjoyed my break so far. :)
DeleteHi Chrys!
ReplyDeleteVisit my blog to see what you've won!
Have a lovely weekend!
Writer In Transit
I won something? Wow...I'm popping over now!
DeleteI hope you are enjoying your break! Sorry to get here so late, I've been lost in the alphabet :) I'm excited to share your book release this week!
ReplyDeleteIt's been a pretty good break so far. :) Thank you!
